CHIANG MAI FLOWER FESTIVAL
The Chiang Mai Flower Festival where tourists will be amazed by a colorful flower parade, flower bloom beauty contest, Lanna music show, and flower shops. It has been running for over 40 years and celebrates the beautiful flowers in bloom during this time. The festival runs over 3 days at the start of February each year and draws thousands of visitors to Chiang Mai.
SONGKRAN FESTIVAL
Songkran festival is one of the most important festivals that has been performed for a long time in Thailand. It’s known as Thai Traditional New Year, Thailand’s National Holidays, and Family day which takes place over three days during April 13-15 every year. Most of people splash the water on each other. They express their respect to their elders by pouring scented water onto their parents’ and grandparents’ hands. The elders in turn wish the youngsters good luck and properity.
LOY KRATHONG
Loy Krathong is a traditional Thai festival that is celebrated annually and is also known as the ‘festival of lights’. The name could be translated as “to float a basket”, and comes from the traditional of making krathong or buoyant, decorated baskets, which are then floated on a river. The date of the festival is marked by the appearance of the full moon. This means that the dates vary from year to year. However, as a general guide, Loy Krathong is held in November.
